🤲 The verb “imati” (to have) الفعل «imati» (يملك)
Have and have not — plus “there is / there isn’t”.
1. Have and have not

Examples
- Imam dva brata.
I have two brothers. · لديّ أخوان. - Imate li kavu?
Do you have coffee? · هل لديكم قهوة؟ - Nemam vremena.
I do not have time. · ليس لديّ وقت.
💡 After “nemam” the thing you do not have changes its ending: vrijeme → nemam vremena.
2. There is / there is not
“ima” and “nema” also mean “there is” and “there is not”.
Examples
- Ima li tu banka?
Is there a bank here? · هل يوجد بنك هنا؟ - Nema problema.
No problem. · لا مشكلة.
