📍 Where and where to: u / na أين وإلى أين: u / na
The same little words, two different endings for “going” and “being”.
1. Going vs being there
Kamo? (where to?) takes the object ending. Gdje? (where?) takes the locative ending, usually -u or -i.

- Idem u školu.
I am going to school. · أذهب إلى المدرسة. - Djeca su u školi.
The children are at school. · الأطفال في المدرسة. - Ljeti idemo na more.
In summer we go to the seaside. · في الصيف نذهب إلى البحر. - Na poslu sam do pet.
I am at work until five. · أنا في العمل حتى الخامسة.
💡 “u” = inside a place or a city. “na” = on a surface, an island, the seaside, work and events (na koncertu).
